Kate Brookes
Artist Bio
Kate,
Kate has spent her life growing up around the world. Originally born in Adelaide, she also lived in Germany as a child and spent many of her formative teenage years in the UK. Through all of these changes, art remained the one constant in her life.
Having drawn for as long as she can remember, this passion eventually led her to study Art & Design at college in Leeds, UK, achieving her Diploma where she studied all facets of art and history.
But she never strayed from her love of tattoos and knew this was the path she wanted to pursue.
Shortly after moving back to Adelaide, Kate began her tattoo apprenticeship in 2020 qualifying 3 years later and has never looked back since.
Kate enjoys working across a variety of tattoo styles, bringing her attention to detail and understanding to every piece she creates.
Some of her favourite styles include black and grey Japanese, realism, and pet portraiture, these different styles keeping each day and project unique.
Her own two Dobermans, Arlo and Remy, are a big part of her life and are just one of the reasons she especially enjoys creating meaningful pet portraits for her clients.
Whether it’s a large scale sleeve project or a smaller piece, Kate approaches every tattoo with the same care and enthusiasm. She enjoys the variety that tattooing offers and strives to create a welcoming, fun, and safe space for everyone who walks through the door.
